Wheeler (June 28, 1891-Aug. 11, 1968) was born in Isabella County (Mich.). He earned a B.S. from MSU in 1914 and a M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University (1930). Frances Margaret "Madge" Fox was born in South Framingham (Mass.) on June 23, 1870. She was the only child of James and Frances S. M. (Francks) Fox. Mrs. Fox died twelve days after Madge was born.
